About Me

Hello! My name is Paulina Jones-Torregrosa. I am a teacher, writer, singer, friend, and feminist. I graduated with a degree from Wesleyan University in English and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Much of my family lives in Chile, and I am a native Spanish speaker. I have traveled throughout Latin America and Europe. In the future, I hope to be a college professor.

On this blog, I write personal essays as well as cultural commentary. Frequent topics include race and ethnicity, politics, gender, pop culture, and dating in the modern age. My favorite writers include Zadie Smith, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie, Gloria Anzaldúa, Junot Díaz, Toni Morrison, Mary Oliver, Annie Dillard, and Ta-Nahesi Coates.
